Sound-imaging language system

The issues of the sound-imaginative system of the language are considered. It is said about the motivation and involuntariness (arbitrariness) of the language sign, about the presence of a special sound-imaginative system in the language. It is stated that the main task of phonosemantics is the study of the sound-imaginative system. A brief analysis of the words-terms of various fields of scientific knowledge is presented. The analysis of examples of onomatopoeic bases is undertaken in order to identify the motivation of the term, which has a pronounced imagery that facilitates the establishment of associative links. The conclusion is made about the motivation, the nature of onomatopoeia and associations based on the similarity of forms or actions.
