The purpose of the article is to show that there is lyrical music, musical-rhythmic and melodic musical potential in Leonid Martynov's verse. Leonid Martynov's poetic texts are analyzed in terms of synthesis of poetry and music, especially typical of the Silver Age literature. The main principle of verbal and musical "symphonism" of L.Martynov's poetry is unity of sound and sense, implemented in broad use of phonemic repetition, assonance and alliteration. The poet's and his contemporaries' (V.Mayakovskiy, S.Kirsanov) favourite means of associative linking is the one that makes phonetic accord cause association of pure sense which allows miraculous combining heterogeneous things, emphasizing novelty and strangeness of the world.
