20 years: the time for new landmarks and opportunities

The article deals with the history of creation and development of one of the first self-selected series of Science Journal of VolSU - Series 2. Linguistics. The author names the responsible editors and editorial board members of this journal since the foundation of the journal, determines the geographic affiliation of authors, and traces the change in the frequency of the journal’s publication. The article also examines in detail the most urgent and relevant topics, presents the nature of content and issues under the constant headings. The topical subjects of the four 2016 issues are allocated and thoroughly reviewed. The author lists databases, including international ones and open electronic resources, which index Science Journal of Volgograd State University. Linguistics.
