Absolute and relative: categorization analysis

Definitions of extremely general philosophical categories of the absolute and the relative are suggested in the article. Alternative concepts of interrelation between unconditional and conditional are being considered. The following aspects of the problems are analyzed: 1) images of the absolute; 2) the relative as the relation; 3) relativism; 4) the absolute as singular, the relative as plural and unity; 5) the absolute as the basis, as substantiated and the condition; 6) the relative as visibility of the absolute, the relativity as semblance; 7) sophistication as a link between the absolute and the relative.
