Foreign loanwords: adaptation to the Russian language

The paper explored a language phenomenon “a loanword” and examined procedures of adopting them. The author considered various ways of word’ adaptation (phonetic or lexical ones, or grammatical or semantic ones). The study described general procedures of introducing loanwords to the context, and explored the origins of adapting as well as factors having entailed an adoption procedure. The study considered the samples of loanwords adopted by the Russian language.
