Adaptation of university students at the initial stage of training

The problem of adaptation of first - year students never loses its relevance. The article discusses the content of the concept and the essence of the term "adaptation". The authors analyzed the research conducted in the universities of the country and aimed at studying the process of adaptation of first - year students, its forms and factors influencing it. The paper considers the features of the adaptation process of first - year students, as well as defines the directions and stages of pedagogical support for the adaptation processes of students and the forms of their implementation.
