Adaptive information technologies in the system of professional development

The article defines the system of professional development as part of continuing education. However, with the broad implementation of distance learning technologies and informational and educational technologies in secondary and higher education, this process almost does not affect the modern system of professional development, despite the fact that it is distance learning technologies which allow learning on the job. The implementation of adaptive information systems in the process of learning specialists will help shape individual learning paths, take into account not only the national standards requirements for the training program, but also employer’s requirements, as well as existing knowledge and skills and personal characteristics of the learner. Using Internet technologies allows specialists to study at any time and in any place, employers to track the learning outcomes, and training centers employees to involve leading industry experts as instructors.
