The article examines the concept of affect, its typology and legal consequences, including the difference between physiological and pathological affects. The mechanisms of cumulative affect, the influence of emotional state on law enforcement and the need to develop standards of expertise are analyzed, which is important for the correct qualification of crimes and improvement of law enforcement practice.
