Rural tourism as a socio-economic security factor of rural areas

Macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions contributed to the revision of the strategic guidelines for the development of the Russian Federation, and the service sector was no exception. The deterioration of the situation with foreign travel and emergence of financial and cultural and social problems have actualized appearance of conceptually different approaches to domestic travel. The unique conditions of Russia contribute to the development and diversification of tourist services focused on the demand of various demographic groups of the population. The resource potential of many regions is not sufficiently involved in commercial turnover, which is associated with maintaining a balance of economic, social and environmental interests. It is necessary to consider global trends in the diversification of the tourism business and changes in consumer demand. Currently, the importance and popularity of agrotourism as a component of domestic tourism has increased. However, the development of this process is complicated by a number of factors and conditions of an economic and institutional nature. The purpose of the study is to analyze the economic and institutional conditions of the organization of the functioning of rural tourism as a factor of economic security of rural areas. The scientific novelty of the study is to identify the most promising areas that contribute to the creation of economic and institutional conditions for the organization of the functioning of agrotourism in the regions of the Russian Federation. The theoretical foundations of rural tourism as a promising direction for the development of the industry were identified, and the main trends in its development were characterized. The analysis of factors and problems affecting the development of this type of rural services is presented, conditions are defined and recommendations to promote it are developed.
