This article reveals the acmeology features of the teacher of physical education, the acmeology features in pedagogical activity, the acmeological orientation, which includes professional development, professional career and professionalism of the teacher. The article also considers the constituent elements of professionalism, structural components and criteria of professional activity. The stages of professional growth of a teacher of physical education are also highlighted.
