Axiological foundations of teacher's professional position

This paper actualizes the need to substantiate the axiological foundations of the teacher’s activity in general and his professional position in particular. It is revealed that the teacher’s professional position is formed by the relations created in the pedagogical activity on the value basis. The author understands value as a conscious meaning and relationship. It is proved that values determine the teacher’s attitude towards pupils, their parents, colleagues. The author presents the values classification and justifies that moral values are grounds for the teacher’s professional position.
