The axiological potential of a person is considered as a set of value orientations, meanings, attitudes and motives that shape the worldview and guide human behavior in various life situations. The essence of the axiological potential, its key components and structural features are revealed, the mechanisms of its formation and development are analyzed. The infl uence of various factors (family, educational environment, cultural and social conditions, individual psychological characteristics of a person) on the development of the axiological potential is considered. Modern theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the axiological potential are analyzed, and prospects for further research in this area are outlined. It is concluded that the axiological potential describes a person’s ability to understand, realize, accept and implement a system of values in the process of interaction with the outside world.
