Reader's activity of pupils activization when studying the 18th century literature: use of the RAFT-method (using the work with Karamzin novelette "Poor Lisa" as an example)

RAFT method is the pedagogical technique directed on creation of written texts of a certain subject. Creations can differ on genre and composition. This method teaches school students to consider subject from various sides and points of view, trains skills of a written language. It is one way to train critical thinking, it forms system of judgments, promotes ability to analyze subjects, contents, problems, to formulate own valid conclusions, to exercise judgment. Conclusion. Creative works writing with application of RAFT method promotes formation of steady intersubject communications since pupils need to apply knowledge from different areas of the school curricula to reconstruct a full picture: history, cultural studies, linguistics, geography, etc. Such tasks not only stimulate creative abilities of pupils, but also assume emergence of a sustained interest to reading, desire to interpret the literary text creatively that steadily leads to increase in general reader's culture and promotes full development of the pupil personality.
