The article considers the advantages of using geographical information systems in environmental education and the formation of environmental culture of schoolchildren. The functionality of geographic information systems allows you to model processes occurring in nature, assess the real state of ecosystems and, on this basis, calculate the optimal options for permissible anthropogenic impact on the environment for environmental management.
