The research discusses the relevant issue of active longevity in the modern aging society. The findings of sociological surveys of elderly recipients of social services are used to study their views on active longevity in terms of home care social services. The paper determines that active longevity at a later age largely depends on human health and appropriate support of social service organizations. Good family relations, friends’ support, high educational level, and professional experience are the important resources for active longevity of elderly people as well. The emphasis is placed on digital technologies, in particular, virtual tourism for elderly recipients. In addition, it is advisable to shift the focus from guaranteed support for the elderly to the assistance in maintaining their active and independent life.
