Examination results of 93 chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients of the I, II and III stage with extrapulmonary manifestations of systemic inflammation reaction are presented in the article. The study results showed that 44% of patients had normal trophologic status. Middle-severe and severe disease stages revealed disturbed absorption function of the small intestine concerning fats, proteins and carbohydrates. Systemic inflammatory reaction leads to the development of extrapulmonary manifestations - trophologic failure and disturbed absorption function of the small intestine.
