Updating the concepts of migration and migrant in English phraseology

The relevance of the research is due to the development of a new scientific direction - migration linguistics. It originated in connection with globalization and active migration processes that have intensified recently, which have an impact on the language of the host country. The analysis of the conceptual sphere helps to understand the perception of concepts such as MIGRATION and MIGRANT in a particular culture. In the phraseological unit, concepts are verbalized most expressively and vividly, since they are passed down from generation to generation, and thus preserve the experience and cultural traditions of a certain people. Phraseology is defined as the most valuable linguistic heritage, which reflects the vision of the world, national culture, customs and beliefs, fantasy and history of the people who speak it. The analysis of the phraseological field of the MIGRATION AND MIGRANT conceptosphere based on the English language demonstrates the actualization of these concepts in English linguoculture. The field method is effective for identifying semantic characteristics and systemic connections between vocabulary and phraseology, since field theory reflects the ordering of language units at all its levels.
