Actualizing of the ma program in “Digital education” by adding a module on “Steam education technologies”

At present, many educational institutions have a need for teachers who can form interdisciplinary knowledge among schoolchildren, necessary for mastering professions related to high technology. One of the ways to solve this problem may be to use the possibilities of STEAM education, which involves the integration of various subject areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Art. This technology is a continuation of the implementation of STEM ideas, but involves the inclusion in it not only engineering and natural science STEM subjects, but also humanitarian, as well as creative disciplines that foster creative thinking. To address the problem of training educators for the implementation of STEAM technology, corresponding to modern requirements in the light of the federal project “Personnel for the Digital Economy”, it is proposed to update the existing MA programme “Digital Education”, realized at the Yelabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University, by adding the module “STEAM-education technologies”. The article describes the developed module and the content of the disciplines included in it, outlines the prospects for use.
