Actualization of the problem of the vocational guidance as a socio-pedagogical phenomenon

The article presents the concept of professional orientation of youth as socio-psychological phenomenon. The author formulates the contradictions that updates and encourage us to explore this issue. The updated conceptual framework - presented definitions of the concepts of vocational guidance and vocational orientation, the structure of these concepts. Analyzed are the regulatory determinants of vocational orientation work in the Russian Federation. The need to find new ways of organization of career guidance in the region is characterized in this article. The article presents a brief analysis of the international movement WorldSkills (WS) as one of the forms of increase of prestige of working professions and the development of vocational training on the basis of harmonization of best practices and professional standards worldwide. In this article the author presents the experience of the organization of vocational guidance in the region on the basis of the idea of international movement WS.
