The article characterizes the difficulties that preschool children encounter when learning to read and write. The problems of working on the development of graphomotor skills in children with general speech underdevelopment are identified. The conditions for the formation of graphomotor skills are described. Ways to improve this activity in the process of speech therapy support are considered.
