Relevant aspects of the training of students in programming using the technology of project-based learning and the orientation towards WorldSkills standards in the competence "Development of videogames and multimedia applications"

The problem of training IT students via project based learning and focus on WoldSkills stan- dard in the competence «Development of video games and multimedia applications» is brought up to date. The theoretical analysis of the researches in the area and author's practical experience reveal contradictions in the professional training of the students in this program. It is believed that this contradiction can be overcome through using project based learning technology and videogame development presented in this article. The plan for training rst year students with the list of the recommended topical themes, tasks and projects is proposed. It is concluded that the proposed technology guarantees the formation of professional competence of software developer and provides a good foundation for new skill of WorldSkills Russia «Development of video games and multimedia applications»
