The paper presents the results of a study of students' opinions regarding the transition to distance learning in the discipline "Physical Culture and Sports". Data on the most effective (from the students' point of view) options for assignments applicable in the remote format are presented, as well as the most significant problems that university students encountered during the distance work are highlighted. An attempt is made to identify the attitude of students to distance learning in the discipline "Physical Culture and Sports" from different perspectives: the general attitude of students to this type of training; the most suitable distance learning options for students; features of the distribution of time for tasks in physical education; difficulties encountered with this option for conducting classes; ease of use of various platforms. The results obtained are interpreted, subjected to quantitative and qualitative analysis, and are presented in this article. The analysis of the information obtained during the study and the identified possible ways to increase the effectiveness of distance work of students will contribute to improving the quality of professional training at the university stage of training.
