The article analyzes the role of parliamentary investigation in a democratically developed state, contributing to the further establishment of the basic provisions of constitutionalism in society. Appealing to the experience of the functioning of the European Parliament and the generalized monitoring of the mission of national parliaments of European countries in the field of parliamentary investigation, the author identifies a thematic platform of the main directions of parliamentary influence on the resolution of urgent problems associated with the phenomenon of «public interest».
