Current sociopolitical trends of Germany in the mirror of comics

Subject of article is the current socio-political trends, reflected in the mirror of popular among mass readership of German media - comics and graphic novels. The main subject is investigation of the specifics of German comics in the 20th century as well as some scenes of the world’s comics history in this period. Results of work contains the analysis of characteristics of axiological norms representation in the society at a particular period of its existence history, it examines the impact of current social and political trends in the cultural space of the comic book, which leads to interference different value systems and discourses. Output. Comic book is guided by the highest possible number of consumers, it is often due to perceptions in a particular social value concepts and stereotypes. Among the characteristic themes of the contemporary German comic books and graphic novels can be called the theme of combating racial and religious prejudices, the problem of integration into German society of Muslim migrants, finding gender identity, understanding of the historical process (in the first place, controversial or tragic events of the 20th century). In modern German comic supernatural powers, inherent in its stereotypical heroes, acquire it by representatives of discriminated and marginalized social groups. Linked to the discourse of popular culture, comic exploits known in wider circles of readers signs, names, images, texts and case law "texts of influence", including socially significant. The mass of the target audience and comic’s cognitive features as a creolized text - a high level of information richness, clarity of images, expressiveness, promoting a simplified, accelerated the process of cognition - dictate the choice of subjects: as the theme of the new comic modern authors chosen acute social and political problems.
