The scientific article is aimed at disclosing the issue regarding the current trends in personnel management in the Russian Federation. This paper provides an assessment of the concept of personnel, as well as current trends in this direction. Then a visual comparison is made of significant criteria for the selection of personnel in state practice, as well as the specifics of management in modern Russia.
