Current issues of combating organized drug crime in the Republic of Ecuador

The article analyzes the basic trends of organized crime related to drug trafficking in the Republic of Ecuador, considers its impact on the drug situation in the Russian Federation, and gives examples of law enforcement practice to counter this negative phenomenon. In addition, the article deals with the issues of cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Ecuador in the field of countering drug trafficking. The author concludes that it is necessary to develop and ratify additional agreements between countries in this area.
