Topical issues of investigation of crimes in the sphere of intentional dissemination of knowingly false information

Information is of significant importance in the life of a modern person, and at present its dissemination is quite often associated with deliberate distortion and provision of knowingly false information of various kinds to the general public. Taking into account the specifics of such illegal behavior, the presented study specifies certain topical issues of investigating crimes in the sphere of deliberate dissemination of knowingly false information. Based on the analysis, the authors come to the conclusion that the peculiarities of the tactics of investigative actions in investigating crimes in the sphere of deliberate dissemination of knowingly false information are directly determined by the specifics of these criminal acts. Attention is focused on the peculiarities of the organization and proceedings of certain investigative actions. The prospects of unifying the algorithm of the investigator’s actions in investigating crimes in the sphere of deliberate dissemination of knowingly false information are noted.
