The article considers the issues of differentiating criminal and legal norms providing for responsibility for bringing a person to such a state in which he will deprive himself of life, including the norm providing for criminal liability for the direct deprivation of a person’s life. On the basis of a literal interpretation of the norms, the author points out the differences having criminal and legal significance.
