The paper considers the problem of modeling the control and, if necessary, reduction of the level of unwanted noise using active noise cancellation technology, which allows to reduce the noise level in the environment. It works by creating anti-noise, which suppresses the original sound using the phase superposition of an appropriately generated acoustic signal. This is achieved using microphones that capture external noise, and then special algorithms are turned on for the speakers that generate sound waves of the opposite phase, neutralizing the original noise. Active noise cancellation is used in various fields, including transport infrastructure facilities, such as trams, buses, etc. This technology is used to reduce the noise from engines and wheels, which makes the trip more comfortable. The advantages of active noise cancellation include reduced noise levels, increased comfort and improved sound quality. However, the technology requires special equipment, and improper use can lead to sound distortion. Therefore, the problem of modeling active noise cancellation in transport infrastructure facilities is relevant. The MATLAB system was used as a software toolkit. The results of modeling the operation of an active noise reduction system are presented.
