Tuberculosis causes devastating social and economic harm to society and is the cause of premature death of a significant part of the working-age population. Objective: assessment of the alcoholic fraction in the structure of mortality from tuberculosis in Russia based on the population database. In the present study, the alcoholic fraction in the structure of mortality from tuberculosis in Russia was estimated using population data for the period from 1980 to 2015.The relationship between the dynamics of the level of alcohol consumption (independent variable) and the level of mortality from tuberculosis (dependent variable) was assessed using autoregressive method - an integrated moving average. According to the results of the assessment, alcohol consumption is closely associated with the death rate from tuberculosis among both men and women. The assessment of the alcoholic fraction showed that the contribution of alcohol to the mortality rate from tuberculosis among men and women was 59.2% and 43.4%, respectively. The results of this study indicate that the population level of alcohol consumption is a clear predictor of the mortality rate from tuberculosis in Russia.
