Analgesic nephropathy in oncology

Бесплатный доступ

The drugs used for pharmacotherapy in oncological patients (paracetamol, indomethacin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, ketoprofen) are potentially nephrotoxic. In patients receiving anti-pain therapy, the prevalence of chronic kidney disease was widespread, and the risk factors for analgesic nephropathy were high. Among the examined patients, a high comorbidity was noted: in 11.3 % of patients a combination of three risk factors was found, in 23.7 % - an association of two risk factors aggravating the nephrotoxic effect of analgesics. Before starting treatment with NSAIDs, an assessment of risk factors for renal damage and renal function is necessary.
