The article examines the historical features of the manifestation of terrorist activity of the population, contributes to the growth of terrorist organizations, compares the level of terrorism with the standard of living of the population, and provides a description of the regions of the Russian Federation in the ratio of crimes of a terrorist nature, socioeconomic situation and quality of life of the population. According to the website of the Federal Security Service of Russia, there is a single federal list of organizations, including foreign and international organizations recognized as terrorist in accordance with the Russian Federation legislation.
