Analysis of the regions competitiveness in the North-Western federal district

The article is devoted to assessment of regions competitiveness in the NorthwesternFederal District. Authors have defined a «competitiveness of the region» concept. Theprocedure technique of the integrated coefficient of competitiveness considering theinfluence nature of private signs (indicators) on development of the explored districtregions is given. You can see the calculation results of the integrated coefficient ofcompetitiveness of the district regions within five years. It is necessary to analyseinfluence of the chosen factors on final indicator of the regions’ competitiveness.Let’s note the developed scientific potential and existence of the knowledge-intensive production allow entering the level of development of scientific researchand innovations as an influence factor on competitiveness growth. The establishedreasons of decrease in competitiveness of the majority of the district regions give thechance to develop essential administrative decisions.
