The article is devoted to the problem of staff shortage and the identification of factors motivating IT specialists. Material and non-material incentives are considered, their impact on employee engagement and productivity. Based on the analysis of surveys and the experience of leading companies, the need for a comprehensive approach is substantiated with an emphasis on non-material factors contributing to the development and retention of IT personnel.
