Analysis of ecological stability parameters with regard of their dependence on average quantities of traits

Reliability of variance coefficient usage as parameter of quantitative traits stability was shown. It was determined that its distortions were caused by regression character of standard deviations values to average quantities of trait, which lines are above beginning of axis. To avoid such distortions, method including grapho-analytical and analytical variants was suggested. Grapho-analytical method allows comparing average quantities, standard deviations and variance coefficients of traits simultaneously and on this basis revealing groups of objects that differ by their stability degree. Analytical method enables to calculate estimates of stability without distortions, caused by variability of trait's average quantities. Usage of this method allowed revealing a number of regularities in sunflower trails variation and significant differences in productivity stability of sunflower sowings in different zones of Krasnodar region.
