Analysing the translation of the pseudo-real concept «inquisition» (based on the video game Warhammer 40.000 Rogue Trader)

In this paper, a study of translation techniques applied when dealing with the pseudo-real concept "Inquisition" in the computer game Warhammer 40.000 Rogue Trader was conducted. The relevance of the study is due to the constant growth of the industry and the increasing number of products that require localisation into other linguocultures. The result of the study was the identification of the most frequent translation techniques, as well as the characteristics that allow us to define the pseudoreal "Inquisition" as a pseudoreal linguocultural concept.
