Analysis of approaches to teaching Chinese in Russian universities

The article highlights political and economic prerequisites for expanding the Chinese language teaching system in Russia. It provides an overview of educational programs that involve studying Chinese in leading Russian higher education institutions. The article identifies common features of teaching Chinese in leading Russian universities (in-depth study of language and culture, practical application of the language, interdisciplinary approach) and differences in approaches to studying Chinese (focus on specific aspects of the language -business Chinese, use of the language in economics, public administration, tourism; approaches to teaching; characteristics of the educational environment). It is concluded that the Chinese language is becoming increasingly popular among applicants, and the variety of educational programs available in Russian universities allows students to choose those that best suit their interests and career goals.
