The article is devoted to the study of the importance of labor market analysis for attracting personnel to a company. The labor market, its structure, functions, and main parameters are characterized. Key market indicators important for recruiting are emphasized. Sources for analyzing the labor market are described and an approach to assessing its current state in the process of filling a vacancy is proposed. The authors reveal the dependence of recruiting success on the degree of development of the employer’s value proposition and its positioning against competitors.
