The article considers the issues of stylistic lexicography in the dialogue narrative in modern American literature. The novel "Americanah" by Nigerian writer C.N. Adichie reveals the main lexical peculiarities of the Africans who live in the USA in a new language and cultural environment. The research methods include comment, semantic analysis, comparative analysis and continuous sampling method. The characters’ speech includes slang vocabulary, vulgar words, foreign words and bookish words.
