Analysis of hospital care for patients with ankylosing spondylitis

We have analyzed the medical care for patients with ankylosing spondylitis treated in rheumatology department of the Clinical Hospital «RZD-Medicine», Ulan-Ude. The ankylosing spondylitis often affects young people, often patients become disabled due to damage and dysfunction of the spine. Therefore, it is important to carry out early diagnosis, determine the correct methods and use modern means of research and treatment of patient. We analyzed 28 medical records of inpatients who were treated in the period from September 1 to December 1, 2020. Persons under the age of 40 years accounted for 75% of those hospitalized during this period, all patients had an axial form of the disease, 89.3% received treatment due to high disease activity. The average stay of patients in the hospital was 10.9. All patients received nonteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), 9 people received biological agents.
