Analyzing structural changes in the industry of the Russian Federation and the Perm Territory

Subject of the study: structural differences in industrial production of the Russian Federation and the Perm Territory, in terms of their scale and focus. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the structural changes in the industrial production of Russia and the Perm Territory. The methodological basis of the study was the papers of modern domestic specialists in the field of structural shifts assessment. The structural analysis method was used as a calculation technique. Major findings and results: the greatest structural changes are observed in the investment structure, structural changes in the Perm Territory occur at a higher rate than in the Russian Federation, while having a predominantly negative trend, as they increase the dependence of the region on the raw material sector of the economy. The tendency to strengthening the differences in the structure of industrial production of the Russian Federation and the Perm Territory is revealed. The results obtained can be used to design a strategy for regional development.
