Analysis of community-acquired pneumonia cases in children in the Republic of Buryatia

Pneumonia is a common disease in childhood, leading in the morbidity structure of hospitalized children, and often causes death. In order to study the prevalence of communityacquired pneumonia, an analysis of the incidence rate and the effectiveness of vaccination of children on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia were carried out. The data obtained led to the conclusion of a decrease in the incidence, hospitalization rate and mortality rate of children aged 0-17 years from community-acquired pneumonia in 2017 compared to 2013 as a result of vaccination from 2014 to 2017. The decrease in incidence occurred 1,78 times, the hospitalization rate decreased by 2,67 times, the mortality rate of children aged 0-17 years old by 3,21 times.
