English as the main language of sport and sport communication

This paper examines the influence of the English language on sports terminology. The contribution of the English language to certain areas of international sports vocabulary has been assessed. A sociological study has been carried out, within the framework of which certain linguistic trends in the use of the considered vocabulary among native speakers of the Russian language are identified and described.
