Comprehensive analysis of psychological care services: an approach based on user experience

Access to psychological care is essential, especially when these services are provided by trained professionals who can address the needs of those facing mental health crises. This research aims to analyze the quality and effectiveness of the psychological service provided at the Psychological Care and Clinical Research Laboratory (LAPIC) in southeastern Mexico. The study, with a qualitative correlational-exploratory approach, included 97 participants who completed the Satisfaction with the Treatment Received Scale (CRES-4) by Feixas et al. (2012) and a questionnaire on the characteristics of the psychological care received. The results revealed that most of the patients were women, and the main reasons for seeking care included difficulties in emotional regulation, anxiety and depression. A significant improvement in the patients' mood was observed, with greater satisfaction with the treatment received, where empathetic understanding played a key role.
