The state's anti-criminal strategy: countering extremism. Part 1. Theoretical foundations of criminological and criminalistic prevention of extremism

The first part of the research report is presented. The relevance is substantiated, thegoals and objectives of the topic are formulated, and the content and scientific interpretations of extremismare investigated based on scientific sources. The factors accompanying the spread of ideas of extremismin modern society are presented. The essential signs of extremism are violence, criminal leadership,antisocial orientation, and a variety of forms. A scientific definition of extremism is proposed as a systemof essential features of its content: motive, ideology, object and subject, method of extremist influence.A specific classification of extremism is presented, and its new type, military extremism, is proposed.The problems of criminological prevention of extremism are investigated. The unity of the content ofcriminological and criminalistic characteristics of extremist crimes is shown. The investigative andtechnological approach to the construction of crime prevention measures of this type is substantiated.The findings are illustrated by examples from investigative, judicial and criminological practice.
