The article reflects the actual problem of modern literary criticism: the study of the anti-fairy tale as a carnivalized genre of seriously funny literature on the example of the analysis of the works “Ivan da Maria” by Vysotsky and “Fairy Tales with an Untold Ending” by Rozhdestvensky. It is revealed that the cycle of fairy tale songs from the movie “Ivan da Marya” is a continuation of the tradition of carnival folklore with its specific carnivalized worldview associated with the syncretism of poetic genera, music and dance. A number of songs are considered as a nativity scene in verse, revealing the main content of the anti-tale. The characters of the work bring a festive atmosphere of freedom and fun, a carnival vision of the underworld takes place, a folklore theater with mummery and puppet interludes unfolds. Vernacular metaphors, folk prejudices, sayings bring joy to the style of the anti-fairy tale “Ivan da Marya”, where laughter becomes the main “hero” of the work. The study claims that the karanavalized genre of anti-fairy tales has absorbed the poetics of folklore genres - lubok, raek, satirical scenes with puppet acting, etc. “A Fairy Tale with an Untold Ending” by Rozhdestvensky continues the traditions of the folk genre of lubok with its speech design of the plot in funny pictures. The raeshny verse of the Christmas anti-tale is formed on the basis of folk genres characterized by cheerful relativity: tall tales, horror stories. The article makes sense that the “Fairy Tale with an Untold Ending” is full of comic situations that help to “fix” the anti-records of an athlete, the “anti-patriotism” of a musician, to ridicule the “anti-mind” of a retired general.
