The article deals with the basic directions of the transformation of the ecosystems of the regional level at the example of the Tambov region. There is demonstrated the essential anthropogenic influence on the basic components of the ecosystems: vegetation cover, soil, land and ground water. There is emphasized the negative impact of the municipal and hard industrial waste on the condition of the ecosystem.
