The article is devoted to the views of American politician Alexander Gamilton at the legislation. The author considers A. Gamilton's views in the context of author's understanding of human nature. Such anthropological approach to the problems of law allows finding objectively existing basis for activity of the lawmaker. Hamilton suggests observing the principle of separation of powers at all levels of the state. In his opinion, any powers should be compensated by the real responsibility. Hamilton considers that first of all the law should protect human rights for life and property.
