Purpose: Consideration of the appeal bases of cancellation or change of the sentence decided on the basis of the jury’s verdict of assessors. Methodology: Private and scientific methods of knowledge were applied: legallistic, system analysis and others. Results: In article features of the appeal appeal of the sentence decided on the basis of the jury’s verdict of assessors are shown, recognition cases in practice illegal structure of jury of assessors are analyzed, the most typical essential violations of the criminal procedure law, with their illustration are considered by data of the published court practice.
