Aplastic anemia (AA) is a disease of the blood system, which is characterized by pancytopenia, due to bone marrow aplasia with impaired immune mechanisms of hematopoiesis regulation. In recent decades, new data have been obtained that allow a deeper understanding of the pathogenesis of the disease, treatment programs for patients AA are being improved. It was established that the success of therapy depends on early and accurate diagnosis, the early onset of adequate therapy and achievement of complete remission, the lack of clonal transformation and severe complications. The lecture provides modern data on the pathogenesis of AA, approaches to therapy, monitoring the effectiveness of therapy and possible complications.
